India vs Australia 4th Test Sydney: Kolkata Knight Riders just cannot get rid over Kuldeep Yadav getting the better of Australian skipper Tim Paine with a ball that bamboozled him on Day 3 at SCG. Kuldeep Yadav came up with the goods as his second five-wicket haul helped India bundle out the hosts for 300 runs in the first innings of the final Test. Former Australian spinner Shane Warne also congratulated the chinaman, who idolises him. Warne took to Twitter and shared a picture with Kuldeep from IPL and captioned it as, “Well bowled & congrats on your 5 wicket haul also, thankyou for your very kind words – it’s been a pleasure to work with you & watch you bowl my friend !”

Meanwhile, Kuldeep broke a 64-year-old long-standing record as he finished with five wickets for 99 runs and became the second left-arm wrist spinner to bag a five-wicket haul in Australia. He was also second to England’s Johnny Wardle, who took 5 for 79 against the hosts at the SCG in 1955. The 24-year-old is also the sixth Indian bowler to pick five wickets Down Under. This is his second five-wicket haul in Test cricket.

KKR, the franchise Kuldeep represents in the IPL also responded and their tweet read, “We still can’t get over this beauty from @imkuldeep18 to dismiss Paine on Day 3. Making his idol @ShaneWarne proud.”

Brief scores: India 622 for 7 declared (Pujara 193, Pant 159 not out, Jadeja 81, Lyon 4 for 178) vs Australia (300 all out; Harris 79, Kuldeep 5 for 99) 6/0 (Harris 2*, Khawaja 4*), trail by 316 runs following on.
