India vs Australia 4th Test Sydney: It was a rash shot from Travis Head on 20 that led to his downfall in the first innings at SCG on Day 3. It was a poor delivery from Kuldeep Yadav, it was a full toss which Head hit straight back to the bowler. It came hard at Kuldeep, it low but he managed to hold onto the catch and that reduced Australia to 192/5. Australia seems to be finding ways to get themselves out. Head shimmied down nicely to take it on the full but probably got it on the toe-end there. He’d be bitterly disappointed as he had just got his eye in and would have been hoping to go big on the flat track at SCG.
Here is the video of the dismissal.
At tea on Day 3, the hosts are reeling at 198/5 and are still trailing by 424 runs.
Earlier, India declared their first innings at a mammoth 622/7, thanks to daddy centuries from Cheteshwar Pujara (193) and Rishabh Pant (159*). India already has the Borden-Gaskar Trophy in the bag with a lead of 2-1 currently. Even if India lose, the possibilities of which are next to zero, India will create history by winning their first ever Test series in Australian soil. This Indian team is No 1 in Test side in the world hence the stakes on the Virat Kohli-led side is high.
Meanwhile, Cheteshwar Pujara seems to have been the difference between the two sides. He has already amassed more than 500 runs in the series and has registered three centuries. The credit also has to go to the bowlers, who managed to take wickets and bowling out the hosts.
