India vs Australia 4th Test Sydney: Rishabh Pant slammed his second Test century and became the only Indian and Asian wicketkeeper to do so in Australian soil as he brought it up in the fourth Test at Sydney Cricket Ground. Pant also surpassed MS Dhoni 148 against Pakistan in Faisalabad in 2006. The highest Test score by a visiting wicketkeeper in Australia is by AB de Villiers, who scored 169 in 2012. Rishabh Pant has now breached that score in 2019 in SCG. Rishabh Pant is now the only 2nd visiting wicket-keeper to register Test 100s both in England and Australia. Jeffery Dujon was the first – 100s at Manchester & Perth in 1984.

Pant has had a series to remember as he has picked up more than 20 dismissals to go with 200+ runs in the ongoing four-match series. Meanwhile, Pant has also scored more runs in the four-match Test series than the Indian captain. Rishabh Pant (291) now has more runs than Virat Kohli (282) in this series. He also became the first Indian wicketkeeper to score a hundred in Australia. Pant is certainly taking giant strides in international cricket and he would be hoping that 2019 is a great year for him.
At the time of filing the copy, India was 612/6 and Pant was on 149 along with Jadeja on 81. The two have stitched a 194-run-stand as India has gone past the 600-run-mark.
