India vs Australia 4th Test Sydney: Young Rishabh Pant has surely become the toast of the nation after he slammed his second Test century at Sydney Cricket Ground, which was breathtaking, to say the least. Pant smashed 159 off 189 balls to help India post a mammoth first innings total of 622/7. After the match, Pant showed how rooted and grounded he is as he wished his mother on her birthday and thanked her for putting in all the hard work for him. He thanked her with an emotional post which will make every mother teary-eyed. His Instagram post read, “Happy birthday mom . You are the person who is always behind me no matter what. I love you so much. I still remember the time when you used to travel with me for my practices and matches. Thanku for taking all the stress of mine and making it yours can’t even express my feelings in words. Love you and happy birthday once again

Pant became the first Indian and Asian wicketkeeper to register a ton on Australian soil. Earlier, he also slammed a ton in England and became the first Indian wicketkeeper to do so.

“You can learn from anyone who is not in form. It is the hard times that help you learn more. I was batting according to the game plan. Every hundred in international cricket is special. I never think of hundreds, I just look to contribute to the team’s cause. I was nervous as I had got out for 90’s against Windies in India. I loved my celebration. Nothing changed for me, but this time I was playing with a batsman. In my previous occasions, I was playing with the tail. As a wicketkeeper, we look to be positive. You have to be on the field with the entire team. As a player I do not think what is going on in the match, I say what I feel,” said Rishabh Pant at the press conference at stumps on Day 2.
