India vs Australia: India cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara was welcomed back by his family with a cake that he cut in the presence of his wife and daughter. But, what got Twitterverse talking was Pujara’s father, who apparently resembled Anupam Kher. That is what got the social sphere abuzz as fans started feeling that Pujara was promoting the film ‘Accidental Prime Minister’. That is sure not the case as the family came together to celebrate Pujara and team India’s success in Australia, where Pujara amassed 521 runs in seven innings bagging the Man of the Series award. Pujara posted a picture which was captioned as, “Happiness is only real, when shared.”
Here is how Twitter responded:
Based on the book The Accidental Prime Minister: The Making and Unmaking of Manmohan Singh by political commentator and policy analyst Sanjaya Baru, this film is a fictionalised adaptation of Baru’s time in the Prime Minister’s Office.
Meanwhile, India will look to fine-tune their World Cup preparations in the three-match ODI series against an under-fire Australia, beginning on Saturday in Sydney. Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul has provided a big distraction for the Indian team by making “inappropriate” comments on women during a TV show. In the build-up to the first ODI, skipper Virat Kohli underlined that the team management is still waiting for a decision to be made regarding a ban or punishment to be meted out to the two players.
