India vs Bangladesh 2024: Three BAN players who could challenge IND in the Test series

In the upcoming Test series, Bangladesh's Nahid Rana, Mehidy Hasan, and Mushfiqur Rahim are key players who could pose a significant challenge to India, given their recent performances and form.

New Delhi: Bangladesh was hardly the likely challenger for India in the two-Test series a month ago, but Pakistan’s defeat to Bangladesh by 2-0, away from their own shores, has changed the scenario somewhat. Many would now not underestimate Najmul Hossain Shanto and Bangladesh. Despite never having won against India in the 13 Test encounters between the two teams, winning only one and losing the remaining 11, Bangladesh is ready to give a go to the host, who has not lost a Test series in its homeland since 2012.

3. Mushfiqur Rahim

Mushfiqur Rahim is one of the few Test cricket legends Bangladesh have ever produced. His innings, where he bashed a 191-run knock in the first Test against Pakistan, was the only source of inspiration from where the team won that series. Against India, Mushfiqur has 604 runs in 15 innings and is now 217 runs away from becoming the highest scorer of Test matches between India and Bangladesh. His shape is going to be crucial for Bangladesh, if they can seriously challenge India in the series that is ahead.
