Virat Kohli-led team India lock horns with hosts England for the long-awaited 1st Test at Birmingham, Edgbaston. And the buzz is around the Virat Kohli-James Anderson battle. The English pacer got the better of the India captain four years ago, but a lot has changed ever since. Amul, a dairy product brand has in their new ad highlights the duel between the two cricketers and their post is captioned, “Ball swing hoga ya balla?”.
It means Amul is posing a question that the ball swing or the bat will yield the runs. At the bottom of the picture, it is captioned “Five Test, One Taste”.
Amul is renowned for their quirky ads, fans will not forget the ad they came up with during the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which had Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi featuring in it. That ad was also a hit, where Amul highlights Ronaldo’s hattrick in the Cup against Spain. It was written, “Ronal Ek”, “Ronaldo” and “Ronalteen”. These are Hindi letters, Ek, Do, Teen, which means one, two and three. The ad also featured Messi who seemed concerned. Let us remind you, Messi missed a penalty in Argentina’s opening encounter with Iceland, a game Argentina were expected to win.
With the big Test starting in under 24 hours from now, Amul seems to be cashing in on the buzz and fervour around the match.
