India vs England 1st Test Edgbaston Day 1: India captain Virat Kohli gave the perfect response to Joe Root’s mic-drop after the former affected his runout in the ongoing 1st Test at Birmingham. The runout happened at a time when Root looked all-set to slam a ton. He was on 80 when the runout happened. Bairstow tucked the ball to the leg-side and set off for a run, spotting that Virat had ground to cover, he took off for a second. Root contemplated then fell for it and found himself short of his ground. Joe Root had done a mic-drop act during the ODI series after getting to a hundred and guiding England home. Virat is not someone who forgets things easily. He gave it back to Root with a kiss send-off. If one looks at the video closely one will also get to see Kohli uttering the word ‘mic-drop’.
