India vs England 2018, 2nd Test Day 4, Lords: Murali Vijay bagged a duck at Lord’s joining Virender Sehwag and Shikhar Dhawan to this unwanted record. They are now the only Indian openers to bag a pair against England in Tests. Not something Vijay would be proud of. Pankaj Roy too bagged a pair against England in 1952 Manchester.
Vijay thus became the sixth Indian opener to be dismissed for a ‘Pair’ after Pankaj Roy (vs England, Manchester, 1952), F Engineer (vs WI, Mumbai WS, 1975), W Jaffer (vs Bangladesh, Chittagong, 2007), V Sehwag (vs England, Edgbaston, 2011), S Dhawan (vs SA, Mohali, 2015). And in England, he became the third after Sehwag in 2011 to register a pair in England.

Vijay has had a woeful 2018 where he has scores of 1, 13, 46, 9, 8, 25, 20, 6, 0, 0 in 10 overseas innings. Those are not scores you expect of your opener in overseas conditions.
Earlier, after Day 1 was washed off, England won the toss on Day 2 and put the visiting team into bat. India was bowled out for a paltry 107. India captain Virat Kohli was out for 23, whereas Ashwin top-scored with 29 runs. James Anderson was the pick of the English bowlers, he picked up five wickets to rattle India.
The visitors dominated the first session of the day on Saturday, reducing England to 89/4 and then 131/5, but Chris Woakes (120*) and Jonny Bairstow (93) took it away from the visitors, putting on a 189-run stand to help England head into stumps with a lead of 250.
Early lunch has been taken on Day 4 after rain interrupted play. India is 17/2 and has lost their openers.
