Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were seen rolling their arms over during a net session at Essex, whereas the fast bowlers were doing some flexing of muscles. In the pictures posted by BCCI, you can see Indian skipper Virat Kohli and KL Rahul look to have a hit at the nets. Meanwhile, Dinesh Karthik had his gloves on, giving a clear indication that he will be there in the starting XI.

Meanwhile, India will lock horns with host England for a five-match Test series starting August 1. The visitors led by Virat Kohli will not be full strength. One of India’s prime bowler, Bhuvneshwar Kumar will not feature in the series. No 1 wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha will also not be there, also question marks hover over Jasprit Bumrah’s fitness. Keeping all that in mind, it will be an uphill challenge for Virat and Co. It would also be interesting to see how many spinners make the starting XI of the first Test. Ashwin, Jadeja has not played Test cricket for a long time, hence Kuldeep Yadav who is in hot-form could get a go.
