India vs England 2nd Test Lords: India captain Virat Kohli is currently the world No 1 ICC batsman in Tests and ODIs. Kohli has 934 points to his name which is also the highest ever by an  Indian in the ICC points tally. Yet, former legend Sachin Tendulkar has an advice for Kohli. Sachin wants Kohli to never get satisfied and continue doing the good work he has been doing recently.

“I would say, just continue, he’s doing a fantastic job so just continue,” Tendulkar was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo. “Don’t worry about what’s happening around you, keep your focus on what you want to achieve, and let your heart guide the way,” Sachin was quoted as saying by the India Today.

“I can tell you from my own experience, however many runs you score they are never enough, you want more runs, and that is the case with Virat. However many runs he scores, it will never be enough for him,” Sachin said.

“The downfall starts when you are satisfied. It’s nice to be happy, but never be satisfied when you are a batsman. Bowlers can only get 10 wickets, but batters can go on and go, so don’t be satisfied, just be happy,” he added.

Meanwhile, India captain Virat Kohli hit the nets and knocked a few balls. He found the middle of the bat on each occasion, just a testament to the kind of form ICC’s new No 1 is in after his 149 at Edgbaston.

Kohli it was, who led from the front scoring 149 and following it up with 51 was the only player who looked at ease on those wickets. India lost the Edgbaston Test by 31 runs despite Virat Kohli’s brilliance. India will now look to bounce back at Lords and square the series.
