Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag known for his wit and humour on social media took to Twitter after India lost to England by 8 wickets at Leeds. Unlike Sachin Tendulkar, who lauded the English side, Sehwag took a different route. The butcher of Najafgarh stood by the Indian team and gave them a lesson in cricket.

His tweet read, “Jeet beshak hothon par muskurahat laati hai, Lekin haar hi Zindagi ka ek Naya Sabak sikhlaati hai. I am sure India would learn a lot from this and turn things around quickly.”

It literally means that maybe you have lost for a change, but this loss will go a long way in teaching Virat and Co a lesson. Sehwag also seemed confident that team India would turn things around soon.

Meanwhile, fielding may have been the difference between the two strong cricketing sides. For a change India was sloppy and England was way better in that department.

But it was Adil Rashid’s 3-fer in the middle overs that changed the game on its head. He not only got a set Virat Kohli against the run of play but followed it up with the important wickets of Suresh Raina and Dinesh Karthik.

Then it was Joe Root and Eoin Morgan’s 186*-run partnership that saw England cruise to victory by 8 wickets and end Virat Kohli’s unbeaten streak in bilateral ODIs as captain.

Both the teams will now get ready for the battle in the whites. The 1st test starts August 1.
