By the end of the second day of the Oval Test between India and England, Team India had scored 75 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in the second innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal is unbeaten on 51 runs, while Akash Deep is unbeaten on 4 runs. India had a good start in the second innings. Rahul and Jaiswal shared a 46-run partnership for the first wicket, but after that, Team India suffered two big setbacks in the form of Rahul and then Sudarshan. Rahul was out after scoring 7 runs and Sudarshan was out after scoring 11 runs.
Earlier, Indian fast bowlers Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna took four wickets each to help England get out for 247 in the first innings on the second day, giving them a lead of 23 runs. Chris Woakes did not come out to bat due to a shoulder injury and England lost their ninth wicket at 247. Zak Crawley (64 runs) and Harry Brook (53 runs) scored half-centuries for England. For India, Siraj took four wickets for 86 runs and Krishna took four wickets for 62 runs. Akash Deep got one wicket. Earlier, the Indian team was out for 224 in the first innings in the morning.
