Later left-handed Indian batsman Suresh Raina posted a picture with MS Dhoni wishing him ‘Happy Birthday’.
Raina also made a post on his Instagram account wherein he posted a photograph in which he can be seen having a bike ride with Dhoni on the cricket field.
A day before his birthday, the legendary wicketkeeper-batsman reached another milestone as he became the third Indian after Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid to play 500 International matches. Playing his 500th international match, the veteran warhorse etched another record against his name as he becomes the first player in the world to play a maximum number of T20 international matches without being adjudged LBW.
However, Virat Kohli and Co were unable to give a victory gift to Dhoni as they lost the second T20I of the ongoing three-match series against England at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.

Meanwhile, wishes have poured in all across the globe for the legendary wicketkeeper-batsman. Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag posted a birthday wish for MS Dhoni. He tweeted, “#HappyBirthdayMSDhoni. May your life be longer than this stretch and may you find happiness in everything, faster than your stumpings. Om Finishaya Namaha !”

Dhoni made his international debut in 2004 in an ODI against Bangladesh. His Test debut came in 2005 against Sri Lanka whereas his T20I debut was made in 2006 against South Africa.
Meanwhile, right-arm spinner Washington Sundar, who has been ruled out of the limited-over fixtures against England, wrote a perfect post for Dhoni.
Under Dhoni’s captaincy, India won the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 World Cup and ICC Champions Trophy 2013. And it was only under his leadership that the Men in Blue reached the top of the ICC Test Team Rankings for the very first time.
The 36-year-old retired from Test cricket in 2014. In a total of 90 matches, he amassed 4876 runs. In 2017, Dhoni quit as captain of the Indian cricket team in limited overs cricket as well. And Virat Kohli took over the leadership since then and has been leading the side in all the three formats of the game since then.
