Ace commentator Harsha Bhogle has suggested MS Dhoni over Virat Kohli and KL Rahul for 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. Recently, there has been a lot of debate who should ideally bat at No 4 for India. Usually, it is a toss-up between Virat Kohli and KL Rahul for the spot. It is a very important spot in limited overs cricket as the batsman who comes at No 4 is expected to mix caution with aggression and look to bat deep into the slog overs. The batsman is expected to have an ability to pinch the ones and twos and also put away the loose balls. Bhogle seems to believe with the kind of experience MS Dhoni has and the street-smartness he possesses, he is the ideal fit at that number. He also believes MS Dhoni at 4 will give India the right balance during the tournament. Also Read - Virat Kohli Was to be Issued Show Cause Notice by Sourav Ganguly; Ravi Shastri Saw It Coming But he Didn't: BCCI Source

“With Dhoni, there’s a couple of things. Dhoni is also the spin bowler’s captain standing up. He allows Virat Kohli to go back in the deep and can Dhoni find a new role for himself. He can bat at number four, gets the time or does he just go in at six, seven and start to slog around. But India needs to find a solution to MS Dhoni. He’s a legend, he’s too big a player. The decision has to be taken around now,” said Bhogle speaking to Cricbuzz. Also Read - IND vs SA, 2nd ODI: With Series On The Line, India Hope to Put up Better Batting Show

Recently, MS Dhoni faced the heat for his slow batting in the 2nd and 3rd ODI against England. He scored a 59-ball 36 at Lord’s and then followed it up with a 66-ball 42. India lost on both occasions and MS Dhoni was booed and jeered.
