So what is the story of the 200th international?
Well, the story is that his club Bengaluru FC’s share-owner Parth Jindal recently posed a question for Chhetri on Twitter where he asked Sunil if he would play his 200th international. Jindal’s post read,”Congratulations to one of the best human beings I have met – both on and off the field
@chetrisunil11 you continue to inspire me, @bengalurufc and @IndianFootball – congratulations on playing a 100 times for India – won’t be surprised if you make it to 200.”
Here is the celebrated Indian captain’s response.
It is interesting to see Sunil respond saying that is the plan. We are surprised! If that has to be true, Sunil will have to be on top his game for the at least the next five years to realistically chase that milestone.
