India vs South Africa 2018: Yuzvendra Chahal And Kuldeep Yadav's Performance Impresses Virat Kohli

New Delhi: Following India’s impressive nine-wicket win over hosts South Africa in the second One-Day International (ODI), the Indian skipper Virat Kohli has heaped praise on his spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav after the duo helped the visitors bowl out South Africa for a low total on Sunday.

Both Chahal (5/22) and Yadav (3/20) returned their career best One-Day International figures to help bundle out the hosts for a mere 118 runs.

“The pitch was harder than Durban and the spinners used it. We knew we won’t get grass on the pitch because when it’s seaming, it can be anyone’s game. We knew the wickets would be hard and dry and knew our wrist spinners can get it to turn anywhere. They just didn’t give South Africa any chance,” said Kohli as the post-match presentation.

“Those two (wrist-spinners) are a handy bunch together,” he added.

Kohli also praised his pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah who bagged one wicket each saying they started the proceedings well for India. “Bhuvi and Bumrah started really well. We didn’t let SA get too much up front. Spinners were outstanding again,” Kohli said.
