South Africa beat India by four wickets in a high-scoring second ODI on Wednesday, leveling the series 1-1.
After being asked to bat, Virat Kohli scored 102 off 93 balls for his 53rd ODI century, while Ruturaj Gaikwad hit his first-ever ODI hundred, making 105 off 83 balls, as India posted a total of 358/5. KL Rahul added an unbeaten 66 to boost the score.
In reply, South Africa chased down the target, finishing at 362/6 in 49.2 overs. Aiden Markram led the way with 110, supported by Matthew Breetzke’s 68 and Dewald Brevis’ 54.
For India, Arshdeep Singh took 2 wickets for 54 runs, and Prasidh Krishna also claimed 2 wickets for 85 runs.
