India win by 124 runs. India demolished South African side to take the four-match series 2-0. Hello and welcome to live score updates of India vs South Africa 3rd Test day 2 at Nagpur. It is all clear, South Africa not only stare at a big target but defeat as well. Overnight batsmen Dean Elgar and Hashim Amla will start the proceedings for South Africa.

Chasing a daunting target of 310 runs, South Africa at close of play on day two are 32/2. The two wickets to fell were Stiaan van Zyl, the left-hander fell to Ravichandran Ashwin, and night-watchman Imran Tahir, who was dismissed by Amit Mishra.

Imran Tahir scalped a five-wicket haul to help South Africa bundle out India for just 173 in their second innings. The leggie was brought late into the attack but struck at will to register a five-for. For India, Shikhar Dhawan was top-scorer with 39 off 65 deliveries.

Earlier, the spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja wreaked havoc as India extinguished South Africa’s first innings for a mere 79 runs on the second day of the third Test at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium here on Thursday.

Ashwin returned figures of 5/32 while Jadeja had 4/33 as the Proteas slumped to their lowest total since re-admission. This is the lowest total by any team against India in the longest format of the game. This is also third lowest Test total in India.
