Quick Preview

There seems to be no end to Sri Lanka’s miseries. The hosts were whitewashed in Test series and now recently in the ODIs as well. The home side will now be hoping for the revival in the game’s shortest format.

Upul Tharanga will lead Sri Lanka for the first time in T20Is after being appointed as full-time captain. Ahead of the match, Sri Lanka added leg-spinner Jeffrey Vandersay and seam-bowling all-rounder Dasun Shanaka to their revised T20I squad.

It will be interesting to see what sort of combination India opts for. With Shikhar Dhawan not in the side, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli are most likely to open.

There is a possibility that rain might play spoilsport as it has been raining Colombo. The rains forced both the teams to miss practice session on Tuesday.
