India vs West Indies 1st Test Day 1: KL Rahul could not get off-the-mark as he fell for a duck, leaving a ball of Shanon Gabriel in the first over of the Test. Rahul just did not offer a shot as he felt the ball would hold its line and will not come back in, but it did and wrapped him on his pads. Gabriel went up in appeal as the umpire raised his finger. Rahul consulted Shaw and went for the review, but to no avail. The review showed he had been hit under the knee roll and the ball was hitting the stumps. The umpire did not have to change his decision as Rahul fell without scoring in the first over of the Test.

Here is the video of his dismissal.

Earlier in the day, India won the toss and Kohli had no hesitation in opting to bat first on a placid track in Rajkot.

India had announced a 12-member squad 24 hours ahead of the first Test. Hanuma Vihari, Mayank Agarwal has not found a spot. At the time of filing the copy, India was 24/1 and Shaw was on 18.
