India vs West Indies 1st Test Day 2 at Rajkot: If Day 1 belonged to debutant Prithvi Shaw, Day 2 certainly belonged to Ravindra Jadeja who slammed his maiden Test century against West Indies at Rajkot. Jadeja’s breezy knock comprised of five fours and sixes. He remained unbeaten on 100* as India declared their first innings for 649/9.

But, Jadeja again showed off some swag on the field before running out Hetmyer. So, here is what happened when West Indies started batting and Hetmyer looked to snick in a single his partner did not respond and he was left stranded. Jadeja, knowing that running the batsman out would be easy took his time but did not realise that the batsman was making a last-second effort to get back. Jadeja aimed at the stumps and hit it. That baffled India captain Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara and the bowler Ravichandran Ashwin.

Here is how Twitter reacted to it.

Meanwhile, the second day belonged to Virat Kohli, who brought up his 24th ton initially, but the bigger event was the Jadeja hundred. Jadeja initially played with Kohli and formed a partnership, but once Kohli was out and he had reached fifty, he upped the ante and in no time brought up a memorable maiden century. It was also more special as he has done it in front of his fans at home. Once, he got there, he performed his signature sword dance as the entire Indian team gave him a standing ovation, which was led by captain Kohli.
