India vs West Indies 1st Test: It seems India captain Virat Kohli is in a state of a conundrum over KL Rahul, Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal for the openers slot for the first Test against West Indies. As per a report in The Times of India, three openers viz KL Rahul, Prithvi Shaw, and Mayank Agarwal batted for a decent time at the nets which shows that the management is undecided over who should get the nod. This is a good position to be in for any team. KL Rahul scored a century in the final innings of the last Test in England. On the other hand, Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal have been doing wonders in the domestic circuit and hence find themselves in the squad.

By asking for bouncy tracks and going by the selection of the squad, one thing is clear, this team is looking ahead at the future and also preparing for the upcoming Australia series. Prithvi has been a part of the side in England but did not get a game. Mayank has been in prolific form in the domestic circuit, emerging as the highest run-getter in the season gone by.

Here is Mayank at the nets:

He found the middle of the bat on most occasions giving an indication that he is in good touch. What seems most likely is that one from Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal will join KL Rahul at the top of the order.
