India vs West Indies 1st Test: Mayank Agarwal got his first taste of the net session as a part of the national squad in Rajkot ahead of the first Test against West Indies. The Bengaluru-born cricketer timed the ball beautifully and looked in the groove during the session as on the other hand India captain Virat Kohli was seen chatting with young Prithvi Shaw. The clamour among fans is who will make the cut for the XI, Prithvi Shaw or Mayank Agarwal? Both the cricketers have been in good form in the domestic circuit and hence the conundrum.

Here is the video posted by BCCI where you can see Mayank hitting a few balls in the net.

And then, here are pictures of the other cricketers.

Both Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal are in line to open with KL Rahul after regular Test openers Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay did not make the cut in the squad. Both the regular openers have been in woeful form and hence the selectors seemed to have looked beyond them. Going by the selection of the team and Kohli’s request for bouncy tracks, it clearly indicates that India is looking at the future and want to prepare well for the upcoming Australia series. With the first Test 24 hours away, here is a look at both the squads.
