All set to make his Test debut in the two-match series against West Indies, young Prithvi Shaw must be over the moon after being picked up n the 12-member national squad for the opening Test, beginning October 4 in Rajkot. The 18-year old was rewarded for his impressive performance in the domestic circuit, other young players including Mayank Agarwal, Mohammed Siraj, and Hanuma Vihari failed to make it to the Indian Test squad.

Ahead of the match against Windies, Team India’s seasoned stalwart Cheteshwar Pujara challenged the Mumbai youngster for a table tennis match. Aiming to put aside the disappointment of the Test series against England, Pujara will also be looking to put up a better show against inexperienced West Indies.

Pujara shared a post on his official Twitter handle of the TT match with Shaw, he wrote “.@PrithviShaw and I getting our TT game on point. See you on a much bigger field tomorrow! #INDvWI”.
