His innings was laced with five brilliant boundaries and five mighty maximums. The 29-year old knitted crucial partnerships, first with captain Virat Kohli and continued to do so with the lower-order batsmen. In the post-lunch session, Jadeja continued to pile on runs, even as the hosts kept losing wickets on the other end. After Umesh’s dismissal, with just one wicket to go, Jadeja decided to not rotate the strike and kept on batting himself to achieve the milestone.
