India vs West Indies 2018: Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah were included in the squad after BCCI announced a 15-member squad for the remaining ODIs against the touring Windies side and that seems to have sparked criticism on the internet. Fans seem to be upset because Mohammed Shami has been dropped instead of Umesh Yadav. Both the Indian pacers did not perform as per expectations. Shami has picked up three wickets and has gone at 7 runs per over in the two matches played so far. He also conceded 81 runs in the Guwahati ODI.

Umesh, on the other hand, has only managed to take one wicket with an economy of 7.10 in the first two ODIs against the visitors. The right-arm bowler conceded 64 runs in the 1st ODI at Guwahati and leaked 78 runs in the second ODI at Visakhapatnam. Here is how Twitter reacted to Umesh’s selection and Shami’s exclusion.

Meanwhile, the second ODI ended in a thrilling tie, thanks to Shai Hope’s last ball boundary. Earlier, Kohli slammed his 37th ODI century and became the fastest to the landmark. He also went on to become the fastest to 1000 runs in a calendar year.
