This is India’s last chance as far as a T20 win against West Indies is concerned. Well this because a long travel trip for the Indian team will come to a close with the 2nd T20 match against West Indies in Florida on Sunday. The 1st match on Saturday was a thriller as West Indies won by 1 run. One can safely assume here that although it is a neutral venue, considering Florida’s proximity to the Caribbean, West Indies seemed at home. Catch: India Vs West Indies 2nd T20I, Full ScoreCard

India on the other hand made a fine fist of the match but will have to be really sharp on Sunday if they are to turn the tide. This because West Indies looked really sharp and with a lead in the series, will not give even an inch away. We will have to wait and see how the track plays but we suspect that it will be much the same. The 1st match saw runs like no tomorrow. (Evin Lewis clubs Stuart Binny for five sixes in an over)

For India, KL Rahul was a big plus and will once again play a huge role in the match on Sunday. Of course Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are stars in T20 cricket and along with MS Dhoni, will form India’s key trinity. Talking about Dhoni, we feel that it is an important match for him.(West Indies dismiss MS Dhoni on last ball, win by 1 run)

It has seemed for some time that results are not going his way and if things will get tricky on Sunday, then it will not be the sort of platform laid out for him that has helped him be the calm skipper for long. We feel that this may well be a match that may decide his future as captain. Of course for that one has to wait and watch but it will be interesting if India are to go down.

Will that present the selectors an opportunity to thrust Kohli as captain in all formats is what we will wait and see. One has to say that credit should be given to both teams for the way they played in the 1st T20 match. The fact that such a run feast went down to the wire was a treat. The match was decided on one shot for it to really shape up as one that may be remembered for a very long time.

There was not the best of buzz at the stadium but there was more than decent support, mainly for the Indian team. But there should be no surprises there. We expect to see much the same on Sunday when both teams line up for another crucial encounter. West Indies may have lost the Test series but are a gun side in T20s and they showed just that on Saturday in the 1st T20 match.

We will see more of that on Sunday, there must not be any doubt about that. Now it is up to India to respond as they are the team looking to make a comeback and for that comeback to happen successfully, they may have to play better than they expect.
