India vs West Indies 2nd T20I Lucknow: Rohit Sharma surpasses Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina to become the leading run-getter for India in T20I cricket. He went past the regular India captain Virat Kohli during the second T20I at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.

He went past the regular India captain Virat Kohli during the second T20I at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. Rohit Sharma needed 11 runs ahead of the game and he got to that mark in the 3rd over of the game after Windies won the toss and asked India to bat first. Rohit has played 86* T20I games, whereas Kohli has played merely 62 games.
He also became the fourth in the list of all-time highest run-getters. Martin Guptill of New Zealand is at the top of the tree.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma was in blazing form in the recently-concluded ODI series where he became the first Indian to slam two 150+ scores in an ODI series. The Men in Blue already have a 1-0 lead in the ongoing 3T20I series going into the Lucknow game.

Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan also completed his 1000 runs in T20Is.
