India vs West Indies 3rd ODI: It seems there is no stopping India captain Virat Kohli as he surpasses Sachin Tendulkar to another ODI record. Kohli has become the fastest to get to 6000 ODI runs in Asia. He is also the 12th player to score 6000+ runs in Asia. Kohli has got to that mark in merely his 117 innings. Tendulkar, who was the previous fastest took 142 ODI innings to get to the landmark.

He has also joined Ricky Ponting and Kumar Sangakkara to score 8000 ODI runs at No 3.

In the second ODI, Kohli became the fastest to 10,000 runs in world cricket. He also stands a chance to join AB de Villiers if he scores a century at Pune. He will join the South African to register most number of consecutive centuries in ODIs in Indian soil. Kohli already has 37 ODI centuries to his name and 60 tons in total in international cricket apart from being the No 1 batsman in the world.

At the time of filing the copy, India was 66/1 in 12 overs, they lost Rohit early in the chase. India needs 214 to win off 38 overs.
