India vs West Indies 2018, 3rd T20I: After taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the ongoing three-match T20I series against West Indies, Team India has decided to rest experienced fast bowling duo of – Umesh Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and leading wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav for the final rubber in Chennai. The decision has been made to allow the trio to be in the best physical condition ahead of India’s much-anticipated tour to Australia.
The men in blue have already clinched the T20I series against the world champs by registering convincing victories in the first two matches in Kolkata and Lucknow. Kuldeep was the star performer in the opening game where the hosts outplayed the Caribbean lads to win the match by five wickets at the iconic Eden Gardens.
While in the second match stand-in captain Rohit Sharma hammered a record-breaking ton to power his team to a thumping victory. It was Rohit’s fourth hundred in the T20 internationals, making him the first batsman to achieve that landmark.
