India vs West Indies 5th ODI: Latest video on Twitter shows how the crowd at Trivandrum’s Greenfield Stadium chanted ‘Sachin, Sachin’ and not ‘Virat, Virat’ or ‘Dhoni, Dhoni’ as India beat Windies by nine wickets to clinch the five-match ODI series 3-1. It was an emphatic victory for Virat Kohli’s men but it seemed the fans at Greenfield were missing the legend, just goes to show that he may have retired from cricket but not from the hearts of fans.

Tendulkar is a hero down south where he also owns the Kerala Blasters football franchise in the Indian Super League. Earlier, Tendulkar had suggested that the authorities should use the Greenfield Stadium for football as well.
Meanwhile, India won their sixth consecutive bilateral ODI series at home. Kohli’s men were at their professional best be it on the field or during batting, it was an all-round performance that helped the No 1 teams emerge trumps.

The hosts wrapped up Windies for a small total of 104 in 31.5 overs before making a mockery run chase. After losing opener Shikhar Dhawa early, vice-captain Rohit Sharma (63*) and skipper Virat Kohli (33*) knitted an unbeaten 99-run stand that made sure that the men in blue romp to an easy win with no more wickets to fall.
Soon, the Men in Blue will be ready to take on the Windies in the upcoming T20I series ahead of the Australia tour.
