Sound start:

Meshram playing instead of Mithali never looked out of place as she combined well with Smriti Mandhana to get India Women off to a good start. They had a partnership of 53 runs at the top which helped lay the foundation for the final onslaught hence that was a crucial phase.

Harmanpreet Kaur’s double:

Indian captain led from the front with the bat and the ball. She scored 27 off 17 balls to provide India W the finishing kick. But she was done done yet, as she also picked up 3 wickets to decimate the opposition.

Bowlers firing in unison:

Bowlers fired together which was heart warming to see. All the bowlers came to the fore and bowled well. All of them were economical as was the need of the hour. Surprisingly, Harmanpreet Kaur picked up 3 wickets.

Improved fielding unit:

Times have changed it seems, India, not traditionally one of the better fielding units showed how much they have improved and a couple of efforts in the field also showed that they have attained world standards in ground fielding which will help the team in the future.
