Indian Premier League 2019: Kolkata Knight Riders CEO Venky Mysore commented on a picture posted by the franchise after the 3rd T20I at Sydney Cricket Ground where India beat hosts Australia by six wickets to draw the series 1-1. The picture posted by KKR featured the three Knights, Dinesh Karthik, Kuldeep Yadav and Chris Lynn. The post was captioned as, “Picture Perfect.” Also Read - IPL 2020 Match Preview: Ben Stokes Inspired Rajasthan Royals Eye Playoffs Berth, Set to Face Struggling Kolkata Knight Riders in Dubai
Soon after this post was made KKR CEO commented on it andpraised Karthik’s ability to finish games and do it quietly, “Absolutely! Also don’t you think @DineshKarthik played an important knock? Keeps quietly finishing games. Difficult skill.”
Instantly, SunRisers Hyderabad mentor VVS Laxman joined in the conversation and responded to Venky. He praised Shikhar Dhawan for the start he provided and Kohli for remaining unbeaten in yet another run-chase. His post read, “Superb innings from
@SDhawan25 at the top and @imVkohli remains unbeaten in a run-chase, and when that happens India invariably wins. Congratulations India on the win today #AUSvIND.”
Kohli has remained unbeaten 14 times in a T20I and India has won all of them and so is the case with Dinesh Karthik, who has remained unbeaten in nine chases and India has emerged trumps in all of them.
In a weeks time, India would be ready to lock horns with the hosts in the red ball format and the win in the final T20I would give them confidence and the edge over the Baggy Greens, who are a depleted unit in the absence of David Warner and Steve Smith.
