Indian Premier League 2019 player auction is around the corner and 346 players have been shortlisted to go under the hammer on Tuesday, December 18. Nine players have shortlisted themselves at the base price of Rs. 2 crore, which is the highest in this edition. England all-rounder Chris Woakes is one among them, who has kept his base price at Rs. 2 crore for the upcoming auction. Woakes was bought by Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Banglore for Rs. 7.4 crores in the last edition of the cash-rich league. He was also the second highest buy of 2018 edition. The 29-year-old played only 5 matches in the last season and couldn’t live up to the expectations, his economy of 10.36 is a testimony to that.
