Harbhajan Singh and Ambati Rayudu are two passionate men, always looking to play aggressive cricket and challenge the opposition. Usually, there are at the opposition’s face but this time, they got in the way of each other. It all started with a misfield: Saurav Tiwary thumped the ball from Bhajji towards long on, and Rayudu made a desperate dive in the deep, parrying the ball away. It was a good effort but the problem here was that the ball bounced awkwardly as he cleared it and it rolled away to the boundary. Even the supporting fielder close to him, Mitchell McCleanaghan had no chance to get a hand on it. Mumbai Indians vs Rising Pune Supergiants – As it happened

A war of words ensued. Harbhajan let out a few expletives from close to the stumps and Rayudu heard every word of it, and reacted furiously by turning back in disgust. He asked his senior teammate, “Kya Hai” (What?). Harbhajan then tries to douse the situation, calling Rayudu towards him all the way from the boundary.

Then, the two exchange in a heated argument. From the looks of it, Harbhajan is trying to pacify his teammate but the batsman was having none of it. He was not impressed with the off-spinner despite  the latter apologising to him. Rayudu even shoved his hand away. Rohit Sharma, the Mumbai Indians skipper assured everyone later on that all was indeed well in his camp and that Rayudu and Harbhajan were “Mature adults and professionals who will conduct themselves in the right manner”. Harbhajan also brushed aside the incident at the end of game. Guess triumph triumphs everything in sport. Watch the video below:
