Safe to say Mumbai Indians have been the most consistent side in the Indian Premier League 2017 and by virtue of that they are now one win away from their third IPL title. The Rohit Sharma-led notched up ten wins out of 14 league stage matches. And became the first side to qualify for IPL 2017 playoffs.

After losing the opening match against Rising Pune Supergiant, MI won six games on the trot. The Mumbai-based franchise’s consistent show helped the stay in top four on the points table throughout. Interestingly, MI’s two defeats out of four in the league stage came against RPS, the side they will be meeting in the finals. Also Read- IPL 2017 Final: Rising Pune Supergiant lock horns with Mumbai Indians for maiden title

Parthiv Patel has been the consistent performer with the bat for MI. However, the team has not banked on one particular player this season, and everyone has chipped in. While Mitchell McClenaghan and Jasprit Bumrah lead the bowling chart for MI, Karn Sharma has been a force to reckon with for the two-time champions. The leggie has scalped 13 wickets from just eight matches.

After finishing the league stage as table-toppers, MI had to face a loss at home against Supergiant in the first qualifier. Mumbai eventually defeated Kolkata Knight Riders in the second qualifier to take the longest route to the finals. Also Read- IPL 2017: Rising Pune Supergiant aim for first IPL crown, here is how they got to the final
