IPL 2019: Move over football, cricketers are now more interested in a bit of knocking at the table while playing T.T. Not long back, Chennai skipper MS Dhoni was spotted playing the game with his Delhi counterpart Shreyas Iyer, a day ahead of the match. Now, Rajasthan Royals’ star cricketer Steve Smith has been seen playing table-tennis along with Ashton Turner. Smith seemed to be playing rather well as he was doing some counters practice, as Turner was doing the returning bit. Making a comeback to IPL after serving a ban for ball-tampering a lot will depend on the Australian. Rajasthan would dearly hope he has a season to remember because if that is the case the team will do well in the league. The Rajasthan outfit has won merely one out of the four matches they have played till now. They would look to better that as they go forward in the league.

Meanwhile, leg-spinner Shreyas Gopal bamboozled the batsmen with his googlies before Jos Buttler struck 59 as Rajasthan Royals finally won their first game of this IPL season with a seven-wicket defeat of Royal Challengers Bangalore on Tuesday. Gopal claimed three wickets, including that of Virat Kohli (23) and AB de Villiers (13), conceding just 12 runs in his four-quota over to unsettle RCB. It was opener Parthiv who resisted the Royals attack with aplomb, hitting a belligerent 67 off 41 balls with nine boundaries and six to help his side put 158 for four after being sent in to bat.

Rajasthan will next lock horns with Kolkata at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on April 7.
