IPL 2019: KKR allrounder Andre Russell has been in the form of his life in the ongoing IPL, giving nightmares to the best of bowlers with his incredible hitting prowess. He was spotted in the nets of M. Chinnaswamy where he looked to have carried his form from the Capitals game as he smashed the bowling with utter disdain. In the three matches KKR has played in the league, Russell has amassed 159 runs, but what makes him an indispensable quantity is his staggering strike-rate of 248.43. In all the three matches he has come good and in a big way, he has also picked up five wickets as well. KKR took to Twitter to post the video of the big West Indian and it read, “Guess who’s back 😉 He skipped the nets for a day after copping that blow to his shoulder, but it didn’t take long for @Russell12A to get back to his regular drills 🔥.”
Here is Russell smashing the ball in RCB’s den:
Earlier, Russell had picked up a niggle from the game against Capitals for which he had to miss practice but now seems raring to go.
Meanwhile, KKR has slipped to the fourth spot after a heartbreaking Super Over loss to the Capitals. The Knights now have four points from three games and will play RCB next on April 5. Russell is again expected to play a big role for KKR, he could again get among the runs as the ground is small and the ball travels.
