IPL 2019: Did Delhi Capitals subtly troll Aakash Chopra over his comment on MS Dhoni quick stumping of Shreyas Iyer? Aakash Chopra, who is a commentator took to Twitter after MS Dhoni affected a lightning stumping to send his opposite number, Shreyas Iyer packing. It was an important moment in the match as Iyer was looking in sublime touch. Iyer scored 44 off 31 balls. Iyer had raised his back leg for a fraction of a second and that was enough for Dhoni to affect the stumping. Aakash Chopra’s post read, “3G, 4G….naaah, sabse tez Dhoni G. Stumping the #MahiWay.” Also Read - IPL 2021: CSK Recruit Sam Curran Credits IPL For Becoming Much Better Player, Feels Tournament Will be Great Preparation For T20 World Cup

In the video, Chopra gives a demo of why Dhoni is so quick and explains his hand position and where he collects the ball and how he saves time.

Delhi Capitals responded to the post by Chopra. It seems the Capitals got a little cheeky and subtly roasted him. The post read, “3G, 4G, naah..Abb toh sirf AAKASH sir aap ji.”

CSK beat DC by 80 runs to once again go top of the table.

“We won’t blame the abilities of our team but definitely we didn’t play smart cricket. It was an amazing start by the bowlers in the powerplay and should have curtailed them to under 170. Even with the way we started with the bat as well, we have had great starts which we couldn’t convert into big ones. There are small things we have to look into and come back strong in the next game. I wouldn’t blame myself nor the team,” said Iyer at the post-match presentation.

DC were especially undone by an inspired performance from CSK skipper MS Dhoni, who smashed 21 runs in the last over bowled by Trent Boult before dismissing Chris Morris and Shreyas Iyer with two stunning stumpings. “The way he stumped me, it was lightning speed, I couldn’t control and with the way the ball spun, it was difficult to get back. I was really looking good and thought I would be taking on the next few overs,” he said.
