IPL 2019: KKR vs RR
With their backs to the wall, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will host Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their backyard. With four more games left for KKR, they need to win it all to make it to the playoffs. The Royals, on the other hand, will look to defeat KKR and knock them out of the league this season. The problem for KKR thus far has been the poor form of their spinners. Narine, Chawla, and Kuldeep have not fired like they were expected to and that is why KKR is languishing at the bottom of the points table.
Head to Head: Last 5 games
With both sides studded with big-hitters and able bowlers, who are the players to watch out for.
Andre Russell: He has been the story of the tournament. With a strike-rate in excess of 200, Russell has shown that he can literally do anything. He has already hit a whopping 41 sixes in the tournament and would look to add to that tally when KKR host RR.
Ajinkya Rahane: The class of Rahane can never be overlooked. He has already hit a ton in the league thus far and is looking in ominous form. He opens the batting for the Royals which gives him that time to face maximum balls and make the most of it. At the top of the order, he will be a player to watch out for.
Shreyas Gopal: Both sides have many spinners, but Gopal has impressed in this tournament. He rattled Delhi with his spin bowling and that ever since got all the attention. On an Eden Gardens wicket, where the pitch will assist spinners, he could be a handful.
Jofra Archer: The Englishman may have not got a place in the England WC squad, but he has been impressive in the league thus far with the bat and the ball. He is also an athletic fielder which is an add-on. the Englishman will surely be a player to watch out for.
Nitish Rana: The Delhi-born batsman has shown that he has the temperant and can hit a hit ball if necessary, Nitish Rana is a left-hander which could world for his advantage against the Royals as Gopal and Riyan Parag will turn the ball into him, which would allow him to hit with the spin.
