IPL 2019: MS Dhoni is the biggest cricket star India has produced, some may beg to differ. At the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium when Dhoni appeared on the big screen, they were a huge roar across the grounds, chants of ‘Dhoni, Dhoni’. This is not a rare sighting in India or anywhere the 37-year-old former India skipper goes. He has a fan following which cannot be compared with any cricketer. The surprising bit was that Dhoni was not even playing the game, yet fans could not hold the temptation once he appeared on the big screen.

Meanwhile, chants of ‘Dhoni, Dhoni’ was also heard in the Hyderabad metro after the match. CSK had lost the match to Hyderabad by six wickets as David Warner’s 25-ball 50 ensured SRH did not have any hiccups in chasing 133. Dhoni missed his first game as CSK skipper since 2010, which speaks a lot about his high level of fitness. Dhoni had picked up a back spasm in the game against KKR at the Eden Gardens and he did not want to chance anything keeping in mind the upcoming World Cup. CSK looked out of colour in the absence of Dhoni.

Earlier, Rashid Khan’s picked up two wickets and was the best SRH bowler. He removed Suresh Raina, Kedar Jadhav in one over to turn the tide in favour of the home side.
