IPL 2019: MS Dhoni was furious at Deepak Chahar after he dropped a sitter off the bowling of Imran Tahir. It happened in the 17th over and the batsman was Rishabh Pant who miscued a sweep in the air, Chahar who was stationed at the deep long-off boundary misjudged it and spilt it as the ball went for a six. Dhoni realised that a big opportunity to turn things around had been missed. Tahir who was ready to run-off was heartbroken and shocked after the drop. Dhoni was fuming but did not let his emotions take over as he left it at a stern stare and called Chahar inside the circle. “The spinners got more turn because of that. The bowling effort was brilliant, and we kept it in the right areas, not allowing Delhi to get a big score. It’s important to get their openers out – their batting line-up is really strong and they have many left-handers and we have a left-arm spinner to negate them. The ground is a little small, so it is important for them to keep getting wickets. The timing of the wickets was very important because it was difficult for new batsmen to come and hit the big shots straightaway,” said Dhoni at the post-match presentation.

Meanwhile, all eyes shift to the summit clash. After sweating it out for nearly 6 weeks, two teams have finally managed to overcome all the odds to reach the final of the world’s most followed T20 competition – Indian Premier League (IPL). Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings will battle it out for one final time this summer to claim the ultimate glory in T20 cricket at the iconic Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on Sunday. Both the teams are set to face each other for the fourth time, with Mumbai emerging victorious in all the previous three meetings.
