Sri Lankan pacer didn’t feature in the previous year’s edition but now is fit and fine to play for his old team in the IPL 2019. Three-time champions Mumbai Indians, who have retained 18 players in November including their skipper Rohit Sharma will also look to plug-in the gap in their squad at the Indian Premier League 2019 auction. MI surprised everybody by releasing some top international stars like JP Duminy, Pat Cummins and Mustafizur Rahman ahead of the 2019 Indian Premier League players’ auction. The Mukesh-Ambani led franchise also released 10 players which include one capped, five uncapped and four international cricketers. To maintain the mix of experience and youth, the franchise has also retained Kieron Pollard, Ben Cutting, destructive opener Evin Lewis and Kiwi pair of Mitchell McClenaghan and Adam Milne.
