IPL 2019 Points Table

In the match 31 of the Indian Premier League (IPL)Mumbai Indians defeated by five-wickets Royal Challengers Bangalore in what was the latter’s seventh loss in eight matches. Starring in the match was Lasith Malinga and Hardik Pandya – the Srilankan delivered a sensational spell of fast bowling while the Indian all-rounder knocked an unbeaten 37 off 16 balls as Mumbai romped to the 172-run target with six balls to spare at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday.

Chasing a challenging total, skipper Rohit Sharma and opener Quinton de Kock powered Mumbai to a blazing start as the duo knitted an important stand of 70 runs in 7 overs. After a bit of stutter in the middle, Hardik played a brilliant cameo to win it for the hosts. Courtesy this victory, Mumbai have now won 5 out of their 8 matches and are currently placed at the third spot in the table. While Bangalore continue to languish at the bottom of the table.

Earlier, following the match 30 of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Delhi Capitals (DC) have bagged their third straight away win taking their total victory tally to five as they defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 14. Following their victory, DC took the second place in the table with ten points, MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) leads the proceedings with 14 points.

No surprises at the bottom end as it is Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) who are riling with just one win in their seven outings so far, they currently just have two points in their bag.

The third and fourth spot are occupied by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) with eight points each.

At the fifth, sixth and seventh places, it is Kings XI Punjab, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals respectively.
