IPL 2019: After six straight losses, RCB is a team that is looking for some inspiration ahead of their next fixture against KXIP at Mohali. Skipper Virat Kohli was seen in beast mode as he practiced a few new shots in the nets like reverse sweep and a unique paddle. He took on the spinners in the nets at Mohali and looked to time the ball from the middle of the bat. Personally, Kohli has been in good form as he has amassed 203 runs in six matches. The problem has been that RCB is yet to win in the league. They are languishing at the bottom of the points table. No team would be eyeing for a win more desperately than RCB. Hence, just prep up for the match against KXIP, Kohli was seen having a knock in the nets. Meanwhile, KXIP is a team brimming with confidence as they are placed in the top four in the points table.
He’s one of the best in the world, has broken so many records I don’t think he will be affected by this,” Kuldeep said.
“He has a different hunger when he plays for India. Everyone is highly motivated to do well in the World Cup.”
The 24-year-old from Kanpur feels lack of team combination is the main reason behind RCB’s failure.
“With 5000-plus runs, individually he’s doing his best. But maybe his team combination is not clicking. Maybe somewhere down the line he’s lacking in team combination. It’s a team combination.
“He’s in great touch and if he keeps doing well like that it will be good for India in World Cup.
