IPL 2019: Virat Kohli again found himself in the firing line on social media over his send-off to Ravichandran Ashwin. Ashwin hit a six off the ball earlier, before getting caught out in the deep trying to clear the ground by Virat Kohli. It probably was the passion that got the better of the RCB skipper as he pretended to do a mankad after taking the catch. Kohli’s aggressive gesture did not go down well with his innumerable fans as they slammed him. Fans felt it was not right to do it towards an Indian player and some felt that the Indian captain should behave in a more matured fashion.

Here is how Twitter slammed Kohli:

“I just played with passion, so does he (Virat). That’s it. As simple as that,” Ashwin said at the post-match press conference after KXIP lost to RCB by 17 runs.

Speaking after the game, skipper Kohli once again pointed how the boys are looking to express themselves and enjoy their ride in the league as they have now managed to register their fourth win in the last five games.

“We won 4 out of the last 5 we have played, it could have been 5 out of 5. We are just looking to enjoy our cricket. Tonight was another example of having fun. Our only focus was to play good cricket as a team, we know that we are a good side, losing 6 in a row hurt all of us. That big break before Mohali helped us,” he smiled.
