The match will take place at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati.
New head coach Eelco Schattorie will be hoping to get off to a good start with his new-look team and create history at the end of the season by entering the playoffs for the first time ever.
Meanwhile, the Gaurs have retained most of their squad who made a huge impact in the league in 2017-18, alongside head coach Sergio Lobera, who would be vying for the ultimate trophy in his second season with Goa.
For four successive years, NorthEast United FC has tried but failed to win a place in the playoffs. The two teams have locked horn twice and NorthEast FC has won one and drawn another.
