Atletico de Kolkata have started their transfer business for next season of Indian Super League in a fantastic manner. Two-time ISL champions have roped in former Manchester United striker Teddy Sheringham as their head coach for the fourth season.
The treble winner with the Red Devils will succeed Jose Molina as the head coach for the Kolkata based franchise.
The 51-year-old was a part of the famous Manchester United squad which won the treble in 1999. Sheringham scored the equaliser in the dramatic Champions League final against Bayern Munich.
Sheringham has also played for the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United during an illustrated playing career before opting to get into management.
Kolkata had a deal more or less agreed with Sheringham a while back before they tried to push for Ashley Westwood, who was appointed as the Technical Director of Atletico de Kolkata on Friday, as their head coach.
Atletico have already managed to retain star goalkeeper Debjit Majumder and utility man Prabir Das.
