New Delhi: Jasprit Bumrah and Smriti Mandhana shone at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) annual Naman Awards ceremony held in Mumbai on Saturday, February 1, where a total of 27 awards were distributed. The highest honours were awarded to Test vice-captain Bumrah and star opening batter Mandhana as the top male and female cricketers of the year. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was honoured with the prestigious Col. CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award. Additionally, former spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who recently retired from international cricket, was presented with a special award by the BCCI.
The event also highlighted the accomplishments of several uncapped male and female cricketers who have performed outstandingly in domestic cricket.
